Terms of service

Short version. Be a decent human. Don't cheat the comps. Don't post things that get us in legal trouble. We can suspend accounts that do.

Your account

  • You must be 18 or over.
  • You're responsible for what happens on your account.
  • One human, one account. No bots, no shared accounts.

Comps and challenges

Bantasy is a game of skill. Entries are denominated in Bantasy Bucks, an in-app currency with no cash value that can't be cashed out or transferred. Where a contest carries a prize, that prize is sponsored and awarded by Bantasy at its discretion under the published contest rules. Prize availability and eligibility vary by location, and no purchase is necessary to play. Outcomes are determined by your knowledge and predictions, not chance.

  • Don't collude with other entrants.
  • Don't exploit bugs to gain an advantage.
  • Don't set up sock puppets to stuff a comp.

Subscriptions and purchases

Bantasy offers optional paid subscriptions (the Mate, Pro and Creator plans) and optional one-off Bantasy Bucks top-ups. Buying anything is never required to play — you can play the whole game for free.

  • What a subscription buys. A subscription unlocks genuine software features (for example private leagues, head-to-head challenges and Pro analytics) and includes a free Bantasy Bucks bonus. It is not a purchase of contest entries, prizes, or any advantage in a contest.
  • Price and currency. Subscription prices are shown on the Pricing page in Australian dollars (AUD). The price and billing interval you agree to at checkout apply for that term.
  • Recurring billing. Subscriptions are billed in advance and renew automatically — monthly plans each month, annual plans each year — at the then-current price, until you cancel. Payments are processed by our third-party payment providers.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel anytime from the app's settings or by emailing admin@bantasy.co. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep your paid features until the end of the period you've already paid for.
  • Refunds. Refunds and cancellation are covered by our Refunds & cancellation policy, in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
  • Bantasy Bucks top-ups. Bantasy Bucks are an in-app currency with no cash value, are non-redeemable and non-transferable, and can't be withdrawn or converted to cash. Bantasy Bucks expire 90 days after they are earned or purchased, on a rolling basis. Top-ups are optional and, once credited, are generally non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

Community conduct

The forum is for talking sport. Banter is fine. The following are not.

  • Harassment, hate speech, doxxing.
  • Sexual content involving minors.
  • Sharing private information without consent.
  • Spam, scams, advertising without permission.

Mods can remove content and suspend accounts. Egregious cases get permanent bans.

Content you post

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you grant Bantasy a non-exclusive licence to display it within the app and on the public web. You can delete your content at any time.

Service availability

We aim for high uptime but Bantasy is provided "as is". We don't guarantee uninterrupted service, and we're not liable for indirect losses (lost comps, lost contest entries, etc.).

Termination

You can close your account any time from settings or by emailing us. We can suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and you and Bantasy submit to the courts of Australia for any dispute, without affecting any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
